Smiltynė Beach is located on the northern part of the Curonian Spit, accessible by ferry from Klaipėda's Old Town. It is the closest seaside beach to a major city, making it especially popular among Klaipėda residents and tourists. The beach holds the Blue Flag mark. Lifeguard posts, changing cabins, and cafes are available. Nearby are the Lithuanian Sea Museum and Dolphinarium, and the Kopgalis Nature and Culture Reserve. Smiltynė is an excellent place to combine beach relaxation with cultural activities.
