Rokiskis Region Museum

A museum in the Rokiskis manor ensemble presenting the history of northeastern Lithuania and the heritage of the Tyzenhauz and Przezdziecki families. The manor park is a cultural heritage site.

The Rokiskis Region Museum operates in the former Rokiskis manor ensemble – one of the most beautiful manors in Lithuania. The manor belonged to the Tyzenhauz and Przezdziecki families and is an excellent example of neoclassical architecture. The museum exhibitions present the history of the Rokiskis region from prehistory to the 20th century, manor culture, folk art, and traditional crafts. The ethnographic collection reflecting the traditional culture of eastern Aukstaitija is of exceptional value. The museum also presents the region's nature, archaeological finds, and notable local figures. The manor park with old trees and a mill pond is a favorite recreation spot. The museum organizes cultural events and celebrations.
