Gallery Vartai is one of the first private contemporary art galleries in Lithuania, founded in 1991 in Vilnius Old Town. Over more than three decades, the gallery has become one of the most recognised and respected art spaces in the Baltic states. Vartai presents Lithuanian and international contemporary artists, organising solo and group exhibitions. The gallery actively participates in international art fairs and contributes to the international visibility of the Lithuanian art scene. The space on Vilniaus Street is intimate in nature, yet exhibitions are always of high quality and thought-provoking. It is a must-visit for any contemporary art enthusiast.
