The tallest building in Lithuania – a 326-meter TV tower with a revolving restaurant and observation deck.
Vilnius TV Tower is the tallest structure in Lithuania and one of the tallest in Europe, reaching 326.47 meters. Built in 1980, it became an important symbol of Lithuanian freedom – on January 13, 1991, Soviet troops stormed the tower, killing 14 people. Today, a memorial to the victims stands at the base. At 165 meters, an observation deck and revolving restaurant "Milky Way" offer a complete panorama of Vilnius. The tower is a popular tourist and cultural venue.
